How to convert a fraction to a decimal
- If the number is mixed, add the whole part to the fraction: e.g. 1 3/4 = 1 + 3/4.
- Divide the numerator by the denominator.
- Add the whole part to the result.
Example 1. Convert 3/4
- Divide: 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75

Example 2. Convert 1 2/3 (mixed number)
- Divide the fraction part: 2 ÷ 3 ≈ 0.66667
- Add the whole part: 1 + 0.66667 = 1.66667
